Judas Priest in a show Black Sabbath
The first bands of heavy metal, like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple attracted big audience, a commom atribute in all history of the genre. In the middle of the 70s, the band Judas Priest helped to boost the evolution of the genre suppressing much of the influence of the blues, presence in the first generation of the british metal. The Motörhead introduced aggressiviness and fury on the vocals, influenced by the punk rock. Bands of the "New Wave of British Heavy Metal", like Iron Maiden,followed the same line.
